Role of the Vestry

The Vestry is the legal representative of the parish with regard to all matters pertaining to its corporate property. Four Vestry members are usually elected at the annual parish meeting and serve rotating three-year terms.

The presiding officer of the Vestry is the Rector. There are usually two wardens who provide support and counsel to the Rector and serve as the leadership when there is no Rector.

The Secretary of the Vestry, Parish Treasurer, and Chancellor are appointed by the Vestry.
